Evaluation of the “Social Enterprise Fund” in South Africa.

Evaluation of the “Social Enterprise Fund” (SEF) managed by the Industrial Development Corporation, a Development Financing Institution of the Government of South Africa.

This mid-term evaluation was commissioned within the frame of the Flemish funded “Support for the Expansion of the IDC Social Enterprise Fund (SEF)”.

This assignment includes the development of recommendations and scenarios for (potential) continuation of the Flemish support to the SEF and thus the successful development of social enterprises in South Africa; with a specific focus on the provinces KwaZulu Natal, Free State and Limpopo.

(The evaluation was conducted with support from a partner organisation in Souath Africa: Simanye -  Ms. Lana Lovasic and Ms Cindy Dlaminy.)
