Institutional assessments of 8 candidate IUC partner universities of VLIR-UOS in 6 countries

Conducting Institutional assessments of the  8 candidate IUC partner universities:

JOOUST and TUK in Kenya, Ardhi University in Tanzania, Quy Nhon University in Vietnam; Gulu University and MUST in Uganda, UNILU in DR Congo and Universidad Nacional de la Amazonía in PERU.
The assignment contributes to the start of a new Institutional University Cooperation (IUC) programme, being a long-term (12 years) institutional partnership between a university in the South and Flemish universities and university colleges.
The assignment comprised:

  • Development and fine-tuning of the institutional assessment methodologies, building on the 5 capabilities model, as per VLIR-UOS requirements.
  • Providing guidance for conducting an institutional self-assessment by each of the universities and analyse its results.
  • Conducting field visits, stakeholder consultations (face to face and distant), facilitate joint institutional assessment workshops, present intermediary conclusions, etc., for each university.
  • Consolidate the results and draft / present 8 institutional assessment reports.
